Saturday: The Williams hope to put pressure on the Mercedes

Valtteri Bottas (No. 77) – 3rd and 3rd

Another excellent qualification for the Finn on a circuit that particularly suits the qualities of the Williams. To the point of threatening the Mercedes? Why not: « Having both cars on the second row is a good starting point for the race. I’m really happy with the qualifying lap and the car is set up for the race. I’m confident we can push the Mercedes, the question is how we push them. If we get a good start, it could open up many opportunities and the pit stop lap could be crucial for our strategy. If something happens with the cars in front of us, we’ll be there to collect those points. »

Felipe Massa (No. 19) – 4th and 4th

The Brazilian regrets not being able to do better but aims to reach his first podium of the season at Monza: « I just missed a little something to be third. We are not too far from the Mercedes and I think everyone should be happy with the result. It’s a long race and we have a good pace on long stints, so who knows what will happen. Hopefully, it’s the start of a good weekend. I’m really going to give it my all to get on that podium. »
