Friday: Grosjean Frustrated by a Problem with His Lotus F1
Apparently struggling with a recalcitrant car, the Lotus F1 drivers did not have the same day: Romain Grosjean suffered from a cooling issue during FP2, while Pastor Maldonado was able to drive without any trouble during the Hungarian Grand Prix practice sessions.

The Venezuelan is satisfied with little, like the reliability of his Lotus E22: « It was a decent day for me and we didn’t have any issues with the car, which is always positive. The balance of the car didn’t seem bad but having grip with the tires was the biggest challenge here. It’s very hot and we expect it to be the same tomorrow, which should be good for the tire warm-up. I think we can be better here than recently; that’s definitely the goal. »
Romain Grosjean (No. 8) – 17th and 17th
For the Franco-Swiss driver, an issue during FP2 cost him track time, which he bitterly regrets: The car seems quite good here even though we missed much of the afternoon session due to a problem with the cooling system. It’s a circuit I like, so obviously, it was frustrating to lack track time because it’s what you need to improve the car.
Grosjean apprehensive about the start in Hungary:
