Sunday: Kvyat and Vergne in the points for Scuderia Toro Rosso
Good British Grand Prix of Formula 1 for Scuderia Toro Rosso, which places its two drivers in the points: Daniil Kvyat had a relatively calm race compared to Jean-Eric Vergne, who was sent to the back of the grid after his first-lap collision.
Daniil Kvyat (no. 26) – 9th
The young Russian finishes in the points once again and could even have hoped for more: « It was an intense race, especially towards the end when I pushed to catch up with Hülkenberg. I was faster than him and finished very close, but unfortunately, I couldn’t overtake him. Overall, I am very happy with my race and enjoyed driving on this circuit with its high-speed corners. »
Jean-Eric Vergne (#25) – 10th
The Frenchman draws a positive assessment of a race that could have been worse, especially after his collision with Pérez in the second corner: « A good race for the whole team, having both cars in the points is certainly a good result and we all needed this positive conclusion. I am happy with my race. Starting from the back of the grid after the red flag and overtaking cars in front of me was quite fun. I think today, I found the aggressiveness I knew I had and it’s a boost for my personal confidence. »
