British Grand Prix: Check the TV schedule!
Silverstone circuit will host Formula 1 for the 50th time this weekend. To not miss the TV broadcasts of the practice sessions, qualifications, and race, MotorsInside offers you the chance to discover the TV program in France, Belgium, and Switzerland, as well as the broadcast times for these sessions of the 906th Formula 1 Grand Prix.
This weekend, Formula 1 returns to the site of its first-ever race on the legendary Silverstone circuit. It’s an opportunity for the teams to shine at home since the majority of them have their factories in the vicinity of the track. A very important event for them, as well as for the British drivers who will participate in their home race: Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button, and Max Chilton.
The event is broadcast in France, Belgium, and Switzerland, among others. However, not everyone is treated the same. While Canal+ ensures optimal coverage, you have to pay to watch the Grand Prix on the group’s channels. Conversely, the races and qualifications are broadcast for free on RTS and RTBF, but the coverage does not include the free practice sessions.
Attention, remember that there is a one-hour time difference with Great Britain. However, the qualifications and the race will begin at 3 PM, UK time to be broadcast at 2 PM in France.

Note that Canal+ will offer a new episode of On Board on Canal+ Sport, like every Wednesday after the race, to broadcast the Grand Prix summary without commentary, featuring only onboard cameras and a selection of radio communications.

You can also follow the 2014 British Grand Prix – taking place at the Silverstone circuit – on the radio if you don’t have a television, don’t want to subscribe to Canal+, or are on the go. The frequencies naturally depend on your location, and several radio stations will provide live commentary of the Grand Prix. The times are the same as those listed in the Live schedule. RMC will notably broadcast the qualifying sessions and the race live, thanks to the presence of Jean-Luc Roy, Antoine Arlot, and Patrick Tambay.
