Gutierrez barred from Canadian Grand Prix qualifying
Victim of an accident during free practice 3 of the Canadian GP, Esteban Gutierrez will not be able to defend his chances during the qualifying session, as Sauber cannot repair his car in time.
Esteban Gutierrez will not take part in the qualifying session of the Canadian Grand Prix, which takes place at 7:00 PM and will be live on Motors Inside. The Mexican went off at Turn 4 of the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, damaging his Sauber C33 during the third and final practice session.
The Sauber team, which thought they could fix it in time, had to face the facts and forgo participating in the timed session after discovering irreparable damage at the front of the chassis during the two-hour break.
