This weekend, Formula 1 is in China, at the Shanghai circuit, for the fourth round of the 2014 World Championship! After a night race on the Sakhir track in Bahrain, the Chinese race will offer its usual setting in the gray weather.
Friday’s practice sessions provided the opportunity to see a car other than a Mercedes at the top during FP1, as Fernando Alonso set the fastest time, closely followed by Nico Rosberg. In the second session, it was Lewis Hamilton who finished on top, ahead of the Spaniard and his teammate. Finally, the last practice session took place in wet conditions, giving the advantage to Daniel Ricciardo, while the Mercedes team and Alonso stayed in the garage.
In Australia and Malaysia, rain disrupted the qualifying sessions, and this is likely to be the case in Shanghai, adding some excitement to the starting grid!
