Sunday: Chilton finishes again, Bianchi collides with Sutil at Marussia

Max Chilton – 13th

After an average start, the driver with number 4 was able, thanks to good tire management and the safety car, to get the better of the Caterhams: « I didn’t get off to a very good start, but over the course of the race, I managed to manage the tires well while having a good battle with the Caterhams. The safety car helped us because I don’t think we had as much fuel to save as the others once we were back in the leader’s lap. »

For the Brit, the satisfactions are both personal and collective: « Overall, it’s great to leave Bahrain with the 13th place and having finished every race of my F1 career so far: 22 out of 22 now! The most important thing: it’s a great feeling to reclaim 10th position in the constructors’ standings. Looking forward to China! »

Jules Bianchi – 16th

On the French side, the race had started well, and he was even fighting with Adrian Sutil’s Sauber: « I am really disappointed after another difficult race for me: the third in a row. I had a good start and gained 3 places by the end of the first lap. I really had a good first stint, I enjoyed my battle with Sutil. »

But as I tried to overtake him, the Grand Prix took a disastrous turn: « I was lucky to get ahead of him and was slightly in front at turn 1, but he turned into me and I hit him, which punctured my left rear tire. I went into the pits, but after that, the car was never the same and we could see that the floor was damaged, causing a loss of downforce and making the car difficult to drive. »
