Schumacher: “Encouraging” signs, according to his manager
In an interview published in Bild, Sabine Kehm, Michael Schumacher's manager, insisted on denying the alarming rumors of the past weeks about his condition.
Sabine Kehm, Michael Schumacher’s manager, stated in Bild that notable improvements had been observed in the condition of the seven-time world champion, who is still hospitalized at the CHU Grenoble after his skiing accident on December 29th.
She reaffirmed her comments to the German press agency DPA: “I can only say, again, that there are signs that are encouraging.” The former Benetton, Ferrari, and Mercedes driver suffers from severe injuries, with diffuse lesions to the head. She did not confirm the possibility that he may have entered a vegetative state.
She also denied the rumors circulated in recent weeks by a less discerning press, including the one claiming that Corinna Schumacher, the champion’s wife, had decided to build a medical block on her Geneva property with the intention of transferring her husband from the university hospital to their home.
