Red Bull Appeal: Verdict on April 14 on Ricciardo’s Disqualification
In a statement published on its website, the International Automobile Federation indicated that the hearing to consider Red Bull's appeal will take place on April 14, in Paris.
All the actors in the discipline, particularly Red Bull and Daniel Ricciardo, will be informed on Monday, April 14th, the date of the hearing before the FIA’s International Court of Appeal and the verdict concerning the appeal lodged by Red Bull following the decision of the stewards of the Australian Grand Prix to disqualify the Australian driver.
The Red Bull RB10 No. 3 allegedly did not comply with the technical regulations, specifically article 5.1.4 limiting the instant fuel flow rate to 100kg/h. The infringement, identified using ultrasonic flowmeters manufactured and developed by Gill Sensors (the only measurement instruments recognized as valid proof by the FIA), was contested by the Austrian team officials, who argued against the authorities with their own measurements of this flow, which they consider more reliable.
The decision will therefore be made after three races have taken place this season, as the Malaysian and Bahrain Grand Prix will be held on March 30 and April 6, respectively. Remains to be seen what attitude Red Bull will adopt regarding the fuel flow measurement during the upcoming two events.
