McLaren has finally passed the FIA crash test
While McLaren's first attempt at the FIA crash test had failed, the team announced today that it has finally met the conditions set by the Federation to approve its single-seater after new tests.
The MP4/29, the latest creation from the McLaren team, has passed the series of crash tests imposed by the FIA in order to participate in the world championship in /f1/actualite/16833-la-nouvelle-mclaren-aurait-echoue-au-crash-test-de-la-fia.html.
A few days earlier, it had been reported that the team based in Woking had not met the crash test conditions imposed by the FIA before the start of the season.
Today, McLaren confirmed that it had successfully passed all tests, clearing the way for its participation in the first practice sessions of the season scheduled to start on January 28 at the Spanish track in Jerez. The team’s new single-seater will be unveiled this Friday, live on McLaren’s website.
