Official: The entry list and driver numbers published
The FIA published on its website this evening the list of entrants for the 2014 Formula 1 World Championship as of January 10, 2014. An opportunity to discover the numbers of the already registered drivers, but not only that...
The FIA has just released a first official version of the list of entries for the F1 season. This list allows us to know the numbers chosen by the drivers for the rest of their careers and the status of the registrations.
On the side of essential information to remember, Max Chilton’s presence on the list – without a number for the moment – within the Marussia team, which could then retain the same driver duo as in 2013. Regarding the Russian team as well as the Lotus F1 team, it is possible to note the presence of a mention « To be confirmed », meaning that the final registration has not yet been confirmed.
For the numbers, among the notable figures, Sebastian Vettel has chosen to sport the famous number 5 (notably of Nigel Mansell) when he is not the reigning champion, Pastor Maldonado has inherited the 13, Jenson Button chose the 22 with which he was world champion, and Nico Hülkenberg will be entrusted with a mythical number: the famous 27 made famous by Gilles Villeneuve and… Ferrari. But, without further ado, here is the provisional list:
