Friday: Williams More Comfortable on Slippery Track

Valtteri Bottas – 3rd and 16th:

« We did some aero tests with new parts for the car today, which seemed to provide some small gains. The track was quite slippery this morning, which seemed to suit our car, but when the track improved in FP2, we struggled with balance. The performance in the first session demonstrated our potential, so if all goes well and the weather helps us, it could be better for us tomorrow and Sunday. »

Pastor Maldonado – 10th and 18th:

« It was a difficult session today, especially trying to get the most out of the tires. We are struggling to get maximum aero grip here, and the car seems to be out of sync between the front and rear. The circuit is very enjoyable to drive and fast in the corners; I hope we can analyze the data and get a package that will suit our car. »
