As has become customary in several Grand Prix, Romain Grosjean topped the timesheets during the first two practice sessions in India. Kimi Räikkönen, after a disastrous first session, is gradually regaining confidence in his car.

Friday: Räikkönen in trouble, Grosjean on top at Lotus

Kimi Räikkönen – 17th and 8th:

The car is running quite well now, but we can still do better. We made some changes in the morning because it wasn’t very good, but it’s much better now, and we should be able to make more progress for tomorrow. The track is very slippery, but it gets better with time and the car is improving too.

Romain Grosjean – 4th and 3rd:

« It was a good start to the weekend. The car behaves well, and we made progress during the day to make it better. It’s always complicated to find grip here, which can make things interesting depending on whether you find the limits or not, but the pace of our car compared to our rivals seems pretty good. I am hopeful for another good day tomorrow, which should give us a good position in qualifying. We will do everything we can to beat the Red Bull. »
