Friday: Vettel and Red Bull are wary of the competition
After a discreet morning session, the Red Bulls quickly took the lead during Free Practice 2 and never let it go. Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber are nonetheless waiting before drawing any conclusions, as the competition often remains discreet on Fridays as well.
Sebastian Vettel – 4th and 1st:
It’s going to be really tight this weekend, as we saw during the first session. It will be tight tomorrow in qualifying with a few cars separated by just a few hundredths. There are several things we still need to do to optimize the car, as there are two or three corners where we are sliding more than we would like. It’s a positive day, but it’s only a Friday.
Mark Webber – 8th and 2nd:
« We seem good here, even if it’s just Friday. We looked good on Friday at Spa and then everyone was at our level in FP3. But, that being said, the car is good even if we have work to do to prepare for the race, so let’s wait and see tomorrow. »
