Friday: Hamilton and Rosberg Satisfied with the Mercedes
A relatively calm day for the Mercedes drivers who believe their car is good, although it still lacks the speed to compete with the impressive Red Bulls. Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg will work hard to improve the performance of their Silver Arrows.
Lewis Hamilton – 1st and 6th:
The car seems very good here. The balance is correct, and we had a very calm day, better than our recent Fridays actually. Even though we are quite competitive, we are not fast enough yet, and we will have to work hard tonight to see where we can make improvements. Obviously, we don’t know with how much fuel the other teams are running, so we have to wait and see, but there’s a bit of work to do for us if we want to be at the front tomorrow.
Nico Rosberg – 3rd and 7th:
« As usual, on Fridays, we are a bit off from the best times. However, we learned a lot today. Almost every lap brought important information, and I think our car is still good. We must work hard this afternoon to improve further because the Red Bulls are very fast again. The atmosphere is great here in Monza; the track is absolutely fantastic, and the fans are very enthusiastic. There is always a great welcome for us here.
