Sunday: Sutil enables Force India to finish in the points

Adrian Sutil concluded the 2013 Belgian Grand Prix in Formula 1 in 9th position, thus scoring two precious points for the Sahara Force India team. Paul di Resta could probably have mimicked his teammate if he hadn't been taken out of the race following a collision with Pastor Maldonado.

Sunday: Sutil enables Force India to finish in the points

Adrian Sutil – 9th:

« It was an interesting and exciting race, and it’s good to leave with two points. At the start, I didn’t get the best launch and lost a few places, but then I got into the race well and was able to overtake several cars and break into the top 10. I’ve always enjoyed driving here at Spa and made some great overtakes today, which is very satisfying. The two-stop strategy was the best, and it worked out well because I think we achieved the maximum we could. We are still in a tight fight with McLaren, so it was important to get back into the points today after a few challenging races. »

Paul di Resta – Retirement:

I had a lot of wheelspin at the start of the race and was around 10th place at the first corner, but during the first lap, I managed to climb back to 7th position. After the second pit stop, I was battling with Adrian and there was a train of four cars fighting near the last chicane. Pastor [Maldonado] went wide and missed the apex, so I tried to take advantage and passed on the outside. He then decided to try to enter the pits, which was impossible given his position on the track. As a result, he hit me, which detached the right rear wheel of my car. It’s really a shame because we were fast today and I think we could have taken one or two points.
