Friday: Vettel and Red Bull Far Ahead

Sebastian Vettel – 6th and 1st:

« We don’t know what happened when I had a puncture during free practice 2. We lost the right-rear very suddenly, so we need to look into that – Pirelli is working to find out what happened. Otherwise, it was a positive day. The morning was tricky with some showers and the track was slippery; it’s much colder than in Hungary, but it’s Spa, and that’s part of the circuit. This afternoon, we had stable conditions, and we were all happy with what we had. »

Mark Webber – 19th and 2nd:

« It’s always difficult here to find the right settings for the entire lap, so we took the opportunity today to test several. We’ll analyze that tonight. We had a pretty good lap today, but there is still a bit of performance to find, and we need to achieve a slightly better balanced car in certain conditions. To sum up, we got good information and it’s good to have had stable conditions this afternoon. »
