Saturday: No Force India in Q3 in Germany
Paul di Resta had trouble properly setting up his car since the beginning of the weekend and did not manage to get into Q3. The same goes for Adrian Sutil, who suffered from a problem with his DRS, costing him some time. However, both Force India drivers remain confident for tomorrow and will aim for points.
Paul Di Resta – 13th and 12th
« It has been several difficult days trying to get the car into the right operating window, and I have never really felt completely comfortable. All the changes made here have been a compromise, and I really struggled with the balance. Before qualifying, we completely changed the settings to try to improve things, and it clearly helped. For tomorrow, we have to hope that we can replicate in the race the pace we have already seen earlier this season because it has been one of our strengths. »
Adrian Sutil – 10th and 15th
15th for my home race is a bit disappointing. I had a technical issue with my DRS during Q2 and it stopped working, which cost me about half a second per lap. That’s why 15th was all that was possible today. I think I would have been very close to making it to Q3 without that. We can fix this issue for tomorrow so we’ll be ready for the race. Apart from that, our pace wasn’t as good as usual and we struggled to replicate the performance shown at Silverstone. Tomorrow is another day, we will attack and I think points are still possible.
