Sunday: An important point for Hülkenberg and Sauber
Nico Hülkenberg really enjoyed the 2013 British Grand Prix, which he managed to finish in 10th place, earning a valuable point for the Sauber team. Esteban Gutiérrez, on the other hand, finished in 14th place after a tire issue.
Nico Hülkenberg – 10th:
« Today’s race was a lot of fun. I had some great battles and was able to drive at the limit. It was fun to drive the car on a circuit as fast as Silverstone. At one point in the race, I lost track of things with the two safety car interventions and the many debris on the track. I had a slow puncture in my second stint, so I had to stop earlier. I think our speed was as expected, and overall better than in qualifying yesterday. »
Esteban Gutiérrez – 14th:
« It was a crazy race because a lot of things happened and I tried to stay focused and make the most of the situation. I had to stop due to a problem with my front left tire. This also damaged my front wing, which forced me to go back to the pits two laps later. It’s something that needs to be analyzed for safety reasons and to avoid having a race dominated by tires. The car is still a bit tricky to drive in slow corners, but overall it was good. »
