Friday: Confidence reigns among Red Bull drivers
Far from being put off by the weather conditions of the first free practice session, the Red Bull drivers believe they have a car that performs well in all conditions.
Mark Webber – 10th and 4th:
« The day was very good. It’s a difficult track, especially when it’s a bit “green” and there’s not much rubber on the track. The first session was wet, but we gathered some information on all the types of tires in the end. The new tire compound was okay, it was not expected to be extremely different, but it was fine. It would have been good to do a bit more work on it, we did 5 laps – but it’s better than nothing. We seemed very strong in both conditions today. »
Sebastian Vettel – 9th and 7th:
« It was tricky this morning with the wet weather, but fortunately, in the afternoon, we had dry conditions. It was quite slippery, with little grip at the end. The dominant factor was the weather today, and we are not sure what will happen tomorrow, but we are happy with where we are. »
