D’Ambrosio: “We can dream of a victory” this afternoon for Lotus
Jérôme d'Ambrosio is present this weekend in Barcelona and MotorsInside was able to meet him. The Belgian driver shared with us his feelings about this afternoon's race, which he hopes will be full of success for the Lotus F1 team.
Kimi Räikkönen will start in a little while from 4th place on the grid – on the dirty side of the track – and Romain Grosjean, who qualified in 7th place, will start from 6th place – also on the dirty side – following the penalty given to Felipe Massa. But the Lotus team is quite confident for the race because this is where the E21 is at its best.
MotorsInside was able to meet Jérôme d’Ambrosio, the reserve driver for the Enstone team, just a few minutes ago in the Barcelona paddock for an exclusive interview, and the Etterbeek native believes that the Finn and the Frenchman can aim for a very good result this afternoon, a podium or even a victory.
« One can dream of a victory, one can dream of a double podium. We were much less well placed in Bahrain on the grid [and Räikkönen and Grosjean had finished on the podium, ed.] so of course I think that’s why we have to fight and then we’ll see. But it’s clear that we have the means to do that, » confided Jérôme d’Ambrosio.
Note that you will find the rest of the interview with Jérôme d’Ambrosio later in the evening on our website.
