Friday: Williams hopes to show improvement in qualifying
After a start to the season reminiscent of the disastrous year of 2011, Williams hopes to have made a step forward in Spain, the land of its last victory thanks to Pastor Maldonado last year.
Pastor Maldonado – 14th and 16th
« We worked on different settings today and tested several new parts on each car. We seem a little better, but we need to analyze everything we tested today and hopefully show improvements in qualifying tomorrow. »
Valterri Bottas – 7th and 15th
« It was an interesting day for us. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t very good during the first session, but it’s the same for everyone. We tried several parts on the car today, particularly during the second session, so we have a lot of data to analyze tonight to work on the best settings for tomorrow. My initial feeling is that we are starting to make progress. »
