Sunday: Force India and di Resta narrowly miss the podium

Paul di Resta long believed he could finish on the podium, but the Scot finally had to bow to Romain Grosjean. He is nevertheless delighted with his 4th place. Adrian Sutil's race was more complicated as the German driver suffered a puncture on the first lap following contact with Massa, and he lost significantly in the process.

Sunday: Force India and di Resta narrowly miss the podium

Paul Di Resta – 4th:

« It’s nice to finish this series of races far from Europe with a 4th place and a race that was probably one of my best Grand Prix. The podium was very close, but with our strategy, we knew we would be vulnerable at the end of the race – especially with Grosjean who had two sets of new Medium tires. I made a good start, had a good first stint, and we showed our true speed today, but in the end, 4th place was the maximum possible. We will get a podium one day, hopefully soon, but for now, we can be happy with the points scored today. A big thank you to the whole team because it has been an excellent weekend and I feel like we managed to get 100% out of the car. »

Adrian Sutil – 13th:

It’s disappointing to be a victim of a puncture in a race that seemed so promising. My start was clean and I was battling with Massa at turn 4. I was on the outside; I gave him enough space but he was off track and hit my front-right tire. I don’t know what he genuinely did but it caused a puncture. I had to pit and lost a lot of time, which ended any chance of scoring points. I had incredible pace during the race and kept my head down to try to come back and salvage something from this Grand Prix, but I had lost too much time with that puncture. But I’m happy for the team and Paul’s 4th place gives us good points. There’s still a lot of races to come, so we’ll stay focused and score points with both cars next time.
