Friday: Still work to be done at Williams
The Williams drivers were not really in the rhythm today in Malaysia, and even though this is partly explained by testing new parts, Maldonado and Bottas are aware that they still have work to do with their engineers to improve the FW35.
Pastor Maldonado – 12th and 16th:
« Unfortunately, we didn’t have the right pace today. We need to analyze the data tonight to see what we can do. We have a lot of work to do, but we will work hard to see what we can do tomorrow. »
Valtteri Bottas – 16th and 19th:
We had a number of parts to test today after the Melbourne race and we tried different things on both cars. We will have to analyze the data to see what worked well and we will make decisions for tomorrow’s qualifying. We hope to find some improvements, but we know there’s still a lot of work to be done to close the gap.
