Friday: Productive Test Day at Williams

The Williams drivers finished quite far from the best today during the two practice sessions held in Melbourne, but the Grove team did not seek performance, preferring to focus on aerodynamic and tire testing and long runs. Maldonado and Bottas were indeed positive after these three hours of testing.

Friday: Productive Test Day at Williams

Pastor Maldonado – 14th and 16th:

« We conducted various tests today on the car and the tires, so we haven’t yet extracted the car’s maximum potential. We have a lot of work to do before tomorrow, but we will have another testing session to focus on the necessary adjustments for qualifying, and we will analyze all the data collected today this evening. »

Valtteri Bottas – 15th and 18th:

It was nice to be back on track today. It’s a new circuit for me, so it took me a few laps in the first session to get to know it a bit better. The track improved a lot in the second session with much more grip, so I felt the car could still be improved. We will analyze all the data tonight and continue to work on the car during free practice 3 to ensure everything is ready for qualifying.
