The assets of the HRT team were recently sold to a Spanish entrepreneur specializing in automotive recycling, Teo Martin, according to *As* and *Reuters*. He bought three 2012 single-seaters, without the Williams gearboxes and Cosworth engines, however—these components having been returned to their owners—along with a 2011 single-seater, a scale model of the 2012 car, and equipment.

Besides Teo Martin, Pirelli has also acquired a part of the former HRT team. The Italian manufacturer bought a 2011 single-seater that will be used for promotional purposes, as Teo Martin told Reuters: « The other 2011 single-seater has gone to Pirelli. » The Spanish entrepreneur did not wish to disclose the amount of the transaction.

While a rumor was circulating about a possible takeover of the team by Scorpion Racing, with hopes of being on the grid in /f1/actualite/14902-hrt-pourrait-revivre-sous-le-nom-de-scorpion-racing-des-2013.html, this information completely rules out that scenario, as the Caja Magica, the former headquarters of HRT located near Madrid, is now empty.

On the drivers’ side, Pedro de la Rosa has found a new position within Scuderia Ferrari while Narain Karthikeyan is still trying to secure his place in F1, eyeing the last available seat at Sahara Force India.
