Bruno Senna, in contact with Force India and Caterham, is sure of nothing

Bruno Senna, released by Williams in favor of the Finn Valtteri Bottas at the end of the 2012 season, is still uncertain about his future despite contacts with Force India and Caterham.

The beginning of 2013 is very particular for some drivers since many of them, despite being confirmed and experienced, like Heikki Kovalainen or Kamui Kobayashi, are facing the worst difficulties in securing a seat for the coming season.

Sponsorship and funding are clearly at the heart of the debate and even take precedence over the talent and intrinsic qualities of the drivers. Bruno Senna knows this well and admits to waiting for a response from the only two teams that still have a seat available, namely Force India and Caterham: “For 2013, nothing is clear. We are still in the race, but it is difficult to know how it will all end.”

Even if he is capable of bringing interesting financing to his future team, the Brazilian does not enjoy a strong reputation among the teams. His difficulties in qualifying throughout the past season and the fact that he had to, on several occasions, give up his seat to Bottas during Friday morning trials do not work in his favor. However, he remains optimistic: « I imagine it won’t take long for all the elements to come together. We are studying all options, inside and outside of Formula 1. I am talking to teams that still have available spots … I hope everything goes well. »

In case of failed discussions in Formula 1, the Brazilian could turn to DTM.
