Sauber will launch the C32 on February 2nd

The first winter testing session of the 2013 Formula 1 season will begin on February 5th in Jerez, Spain. Many teams are continuing to finalize the design of their 2013 cars in order to run them in these first tests – this is notably the goal of the Marussia team and Red Bull even though things seem complicated.

The Sauber F1 team had also set this goal and it should be achieved as the team announced it would launch its C32 on February 2. It revealed a few days ago that it had successfully passed the crash tests imposed by the FIA. The presentation of its 2013 challenger, which will be entrusted to Nico Hülkenberg and Esteban Guttiérez, will take place at its Hinwil factory in Switzerland.

Before Sauber, two other teams have already set the date for their car launches for 2013. McLaren will unveil the MP4-28 at its Woking factory on January 31, and Sahara Force India will reveal the VJM06 on February 1 at the Silverstone circuit.

Two other teams could soon emulate their three counterparts: Ferrari and Mercedes. Indeed, these two teams are said to have successfully passed the crash tests imposed by the FIA, according to the German and Spanish press. As a reminder, teams must successfully pass these crash tests in order to run a single-seater, even during private testing.
