Sunday: HRT ends 2012 on a good note
HRT is satisfied to finish this 2012 season by managing to place its two cars at the finish of this twentieth Grand Prix of the year. A nice way to end this championship for the small Spanish team, which is expected to change hands in 2013.
Pedro de la Rosa – 17th:
« It was an amazing race and I really enjoyed driving here. You never know what to expect when the conditions change every lap. You have to stay focused because it’s easy to make a mistake and we did well. It’s certainly one of the most enjoyable races of my career. We did a good job overall and I’m happy with the result. We wanted to finish on a positive note and I think that’s what we did. I also want to congratulate Vettel on his third title. And finally, I want to thank the team for their hard work and dedication as well as our sponsors and fans who supported us from start to finish of this incredible season. »
Narain Karthikeyan – 18th:
« It is certainly one of the most difficult races of the season because of the changing weather and track conditions. But I am very happy with how we handled the situation. It was a bit like a lottery with the weather conditions changing throughout the race, and it was easy to lose tire temperature or wear them excessively when the track dried. But we managed the situation and both cars crossed the line, which is a positive way to end the season. I want to thank the whole team for the work they have done all year, and I am very proud to be part of this team. »
