Saturday: Marussia ready to fight in all conditions

Timo Glock – 20th and 21st:

It was a somewhat unusual qualifying session today, but very fun. In the early laps, when it was still slippery on the track in certain corners, I did my best and was faster than the guys around me. We came in to put on a set of new tires as the track was drying. On my second stint, I was a bit struggling during the first laps, but the third was good, and I completed a decent lap. It was the maximum we could do against the cars we were fighting, which had KERS, giving them a clear advantage on the long climb, so considering that, we can be satisfied with our performance. Unfortunately, we ran out of time to clock an extra lap, which I’m sure would have allowed us to improve. Since tomorrow there are quite a few unknowns due to the weather and how the car will perform in these conditions, it should be an exciting day for the fans.

Charles Pic – 21st and 22nd:

« It’s another new circuit for me, and I was happy with our pace during free practice 3 this morning. Unfortunately, the track conditions changed a lot for qualifying, and the circuit was wet in some corners and completely dry in others. This experience was useful, and I learned a lot, which will help for the future. For tomorrow, the weather seems uncertain, so it will be a great challenge. »
