Saturday: Rosberg and Mercedes will aim for points
Nico Rosberg managed to place his Mercedes in the Top 10 on the starting grid of the Brazilian Grand Prix. The German driver opted for rain settings and hopes to benefit from it in the race tomorrow. The same goes for Michael Schumacher, although he will start further back, his goal will be to climb up.
Nico Rosberg – 12th and 10th:
« Getting into Q3 and being in the Top 10 during today’s qualifying was a great achievement for us. The setup of our car was somewhat compromised given the expected race conditions tomorrow, so we should be better afterwards. You can’t change anything after qualifying, so I hope we are well prepared and that we will have a chance to score good points tomorrow. »
Michael Schumacher – 15th and 14th:
For obvious reasons, I’m not completely happy with my qualifying session today. We may have made too many compromises for the rain expected tomorrow and also forecasted for the qualifying. When the drops arrived just before, it seemed even more likely. But no matter, my starting position is quite tricky, and I will have to wait and see what we can make of it tomorrow. Obviously, starting from where I am, it’s not easy, but I’ll clearly try to fight to climb back up.
