Saturday: Sauber drivers hope for rain during the race
None of the two Sauber drivers managed to get out of Q2 today at Interlagos. Sergio Pérez and Kamui Kobayashi couldn't do better but they are calling upon the rain god to help them climb up the hierarchy in the race tomorrow.
Sergio Pérez – 13th and 13th:
« My fastest lap was good and I think our position quite accurately reflects what is possible with the car. When the track was wet at the start of the qualifying session, we were quite competitive. But then, when it completely dried out, we lost positions. Nevertheless, I still hope to be able to achieve a good result tomorrow for what will be my last race for Sauber.
Kamui Kobayashi – 14th and 15th:
« My fastest lap wasn’t perfect because the tire warm-up wasn’t perfect. I lost a bit of tire potential in this matter. I think with a wet track, we had a chance to get into Q3, but not with a dry track. I hope we will have rain for tomorrow’s race and that we will make the right decisions then. »
