Vitaly Petrov – 18th and 19th:

« I am really pleased with today’s result. It wasn’t enough to be in Q2, but under these conditions today, I think we can be happy with where we finished. In the first few laps, turn 4 was completely wet, so I had to make sure we could maintain tire temperatures and keep pushing throughout the rest of the lap until a dry line appeared, and in the end, it paid off. Tomorrow is going to be interesting – we showed yesterday and today that the gap to the cars ahead of us is a bit smaller here than in recent races, and the way the weather will develop means anything can happen in the race. I’m looking forward to it – whatever happens, it will be good for the fans and I hope we can finish the season on a positive note. »

Heikki Kovalainen – 19th and 20th:

At the beginning of the qualifying session, it was tricky because there was still water on the track in the first laps, and even though the grip level improved, there was less grip than in Free Practice 3. At the end, times were dropping, and maybe we had a chance to get into Q2, but we can be happy to finish in these positions. In my last lap, I made several small mistakes, but other than that, I was close to getting the most out of the car, so we have to think about tomorrow now. The race is going to be very tight – if the weather forecast is correct, there will be a lot of tension, but we know what to do and we look forward to it.
