Friday: Di Resta lacks balance and track time at Force India

Contrasting day for Force India. While Nico Hülkenberg, who was discovering the Buddh circuit, is satisfied, Paul di Resta struggled with the balance of his car and was unable to run with a full fuel tank in the afternoon.

Friday: Di Resta lacks balance and track time at Force India

Paul di Resta – 12th and 11th:

« It hasn’t been an easy day for me. The balance is still not perfect, and we need to work hard to try to improve it before tomorrow’s final session. The main problem of the day was the puncture I had in Free Practice 2 because I missed out on running time with a full tank and soft tires. It was also complicated to have a clear lap during my stints with low fuel because the track was very crowded. We collected data with the other car, but it would have been useful to have more laps. »

Nico Hülkenberg – 14th and 8th:

« It was my first experience at the Buddh circuit and I must say they did a very good job. It has beautiful sequences and the second sector is very technical and tricky. My schedule was quite simple because we managed to do everything we wanted. I did a decent number of laps on soft tires this afternoon and I think we are quite well prepared for tomorrow. »
