Friday: Morale Sky-High at Red Bull

Red Bull can approach the upcoming events with a smile. Even if track conditions can change the hierarchy, the RB8 has shown itself to be competitive right from the start, so optimism is a must in the Austrian camp.

Friday: Morale Sky-High at Red Bull

Sebastian Vettel – 1st and 1st:

The day on Friday is always difficult with many things evolving. The track improvement was quite significant today. It was very dirty at the beginning and improved with each lap, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the hierarchy was different tomorrow, but we’ve had worse Fridays, so I’m happy. We need to keep working and improving a bit by tomorrow.

Mark Webber – 5th and 2nd:

« It went pretty well today. I had a small block in turn 1, but it wasn’t the end of the world. We made progress with quite a bit of work, like understanding the behavior of the soft tires on short and long runs. We will look at where we can improve the car because there’s always room for improvement. The team is incredibly motivated and the drivers are too.
