Friday: Kobayashi unsatisfied, Pérez delayed at Sauber
First challenging day in South Korea for the Sauber team: while Kamui Kobayashi was able to complete a full program, the Japanese driver is not fully satisfied, and Sergio Pérez, who encountered an issue during Free Practice 2, has fallen significantly behind.
Kamui Kobayashi – 14th and 14th:
We completed an impressive program on my car today but I’m still not really happy. With a lot of fuel, it seems okay actually, but with a little fuel, I struggle a lot. We need to find out how we can improve, and I think we will find solutions.
Sergio Pérez – 15th and 15th:
« For me, the first session went quite well, but on the other hand, in the second session, I lost a lot of track time due to a technical problem. I no longer had engine power and had to stop on the track. That’s why I couldn’t complete my program and didn’t do long stints on either of the tire compounds, so it’s too early to say what we can do here. Despite everything, I am very confident for the rest of the weekend. »
