Saturday: Petrov hands out gifts at Caterham

Vitaly Petrov – 20th and 19th

« I’m really happy with how the qualifying went today. It’s my father’s birthday and the performance is my gift. He told me this morning “don’t push too hard” and I crashed the car during FP3! The guys did a fantastic job in the garage to repair the car and in fact, everything was ready 15 minutes before Q1, so a big thank you to them for putting in such an effort.

Heikki Kovalainen – 21st and 20th

Honestly, it’s been a tough weekend for me so far and today’s performance isn’t really any better. I’ve struggled to find the right balance in all sessions and it really penalized me today. Despite that, it’s the kind of race where anything can happen, so I hope we can have a better Sunday and leave here on a positive note.
