Friday: Promising Trials at Sahara Force India
Nico Hülkenberg and Paul di Resta expressed satisfaction with the behavior of the VJM05 during what was only the first day of testing in Singapore. Both Sahara Force India drivers believe they have a good car this weekend and will strive to make good use of it during qualifying and the race.
Nico Hülkenberg – 7th and 7th:
« It was a positive Friday, and I think we are competitive here. The rain at the start of the first session didn’t really impact us, and we had enough time to complete the scheduled program. I think in terms of race preparation, we can be happy because we focused on long runs and have a lot of information for tomorrow. »
Paul di Resta – 8th and 6th:
« I think you always need a bit of time to find your rhythm on a city circuit, so it was useful to have problem-free practice sessions and to accumulate laps. The balance of the car is already good, but there is room to improve things tonight. So I think we are in good shape, and the collected data should allow us to be well-prepared for Sunday’s race. »
