Sunday: Senna offers the point for 10th place to Williams
The objective was to score points for the Williams team, and it's mission accomplished with Bruno Senna. The Brazilian made only one pit stop and managed to score the point for tenth place. Maldonado had opted for a two-stop strategy and finished 11th after starting 22nd on the grid.
Bruno Senna – 10th:
« It was really difficult to try to make a one-stop strategy work but we did it and we also got lucky with several cars retiring. It was a great team effort today to get into the points. Now we must look at the upcoming races where we will run with more downforce which should suit us better. We will try to bring a few more points home. »
Pastor Maldonado – 11th:
« It was a tough race, especially starting from the back of the grid, but the car showed good pace and was consistent. We missed the points, but I was happy to be able to climb 11 places in the race. I’m looking forward to the next race and I think the track should suit our car better, we’ll see. »
