Saturday: Di Resta satisfied and Hülkenberg disappointed at Force India
If Paul di Resta believes he couldn't get more out of his Force India, Nico Hülkenberg regrets not being able to join his teammate in Q3 due to a mistake in his last lap in Q2. The Indian team, however, aims for points with both of its cars.
Paul di Resta – 10th and 10th [9th on the grid]:
« I am quite satisfied with our performance today. The car was on pace this morning during practice and was performing well on a track that requires a lot of downforce and efficiency. My lap in Q2 felt pretty good and it was the maximum I could do. In fact, I couldn’t replicate my performance in Q3, I was a tenth slower, so that was all the performance we had in the car today. With Mark [Webber]’s penalty, I will probably start in ninth position, which puts me in a great position to come away with points tomorrow. »
Nico Hülkenberg – 14th and 12th [11th on the grid]:
« I am a bit disappointed with today’s result because I feel that the Top 10 was possible. We couldn’t prepare as much on the dry as I would have liked, but we were reasonably in shape this morning, and we made some progress in the settings. On my last lap of Q2, I didn’t have a good second sector, lost time, and missed Q3. Given the length of the circuit, we are very close today, and just one or two tenths would have allowed us to be higher on the grid. »
