Friday: Sauber drivers sorry for the spectators
Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Pérez did not drive much today, like their rivals, and both men are sorry for the spectators present at Spa, but given the conditions, it was complicated to be more present on the track.
Kamui Kobayashi – 1st and 7th:
« I feel sorry for the spectators here in the stands. We drove a bit during the first session, but this afternoon, we mostly stayed in our garage. There was nothing to learn in these conditions, and it was easy to damage the car. I can’t say more than: Welcome to Spa – and welcome back to reality. I haven’t seen a drop of rain during my last five weeks spent in Tokyo and Hawaii. »
Sergio Pérez – 6th and 10th:
« Unfortunately for all of us, today’s conditions did not allow us to really drive to properly kick off this second part of the season. It’s a shame for the spectators who were there. I think the fans at Spa really love Formula 1 and today we left them disappointed. I hope we can make up for it tomorrow and Sunday and put on a great show. »
