Saturday: Pic still ahead of Glock at Marussia
Marussia did not have a perfect qualifying session. The car's balance wasn't good, particularly on Timo Glock's car, who was outpaced by Charles Pic, who is smiling after already being ahead of his teammate in Germany. The young French driver is counting on a better race pace to achieve a good result tomorrow.
Charles Pic – 21st and 21st:
Overall, I am quite satisfied with my qualifying session. With the first set of Soft tires, it wasn’t easy. I had made adjustments to the front and had a lot of vibrations. With the second set, I was much more satisfied with the balance of my car, but I didn’t get a clear lap. It was very hot today, and the race will be tough as well, but I hope I will have a chance to do better tomorrow as is often the case on Sundays.
Timo Glock – 22nd and 22nd:
« It’s not a great qualifying session as far as I’m concerned. Free Practice 3 was relatively good but for some reasons we didn’t make the right changes between the two sessions. In qualifying, the car was more unstable under braking and in the corners. On my best lap of my first stint, I was hindered by traffic. On my second attempt, my lap wasn’t as good, I made a few mistakes due to a front wheel lock-up. It’s not a very good day. »
