Back at the cradle of Formula One and home to most of the teams currently engaged, the pinnacle of motorsport returns to the Silverstone circuit and the English audience. Expected on their home turf, the McLaren drivers will have their chance to shine in qualifying, as Lewis Hamilton demonstrated during Free Practice 2 that he and his car have a strong case to make on wet tracks.
However, the British will need to watch out for the Red Bulls, who were dominant in Valencia, as well as the Lotus team with whom Romain Grosjean once again stood out during Free Practice 1, held in the rain. But the threat could also come from Fernando Alonso and his Ferrari, especially since the Spaniard has already showcased his skills in the rain this season. Runner-up to Alonso in Malaysia, Sergio Pérez and the entire Sauber team could also have a shot.
