Friday: Lotus awaits the qualifications with determination

Kimi Räikkönen – 10th and 11th

« The car seemed fine and we didn’t have any issues. The wind played a role this morning but it got better in the afternoon. I got stuck in traffic for a while in my long stint during the second session, so I wasn’t able to drive as fast as possible. The strong point of the E20 still seems to be its race pace, but we’re working to make it faster in qualifying. Let’s wait and see how it goes tomorrow morning and we’ll do what’s necessary. We’ll make adjustments, but I think we’re good. »

Romain Grosjean – 11th and 9th

« It wasn’t as hot as expected today, but the long stints were good and the car was handling well. We still have a few things to try in terms of settings, so there is still room for improvement. Qualifying will be a big moment for us since we know we need to improve in this area. It’s not the end of the world; as we’ve seen, we can gain positions on Sunday with our race pace. The trick will be to find more speed in qualifying without compromising our race performance. »
