Friday: A day to forget for Senna at Williams
Mixed impressions at Williams as, while Pastor Maldonado managed to complete the entire program planned by his team, Bruno Senna experienced DRS issues and made several mistakes, the last of which was fatal to his FW34.
Pastor Maldonado – 13th and 13th:
We did everything planned for the sessions, so we had a productive day and are in a good position to start the weekend. We still need to work on the settings to find the right balance, but overall the car felt good and consistent, especially on the long runs. We also brought some new updates for this race, and they worked well, which is encouraging.
Bruno Senna – 21st and 17th:
« It was a difficult day today. I had DRS issues during the morning session and had little experience on this circuit, so I was very attentive and looking to see how far I could push with the car. Obviously, I pushed too hard and towards the end of Free Practice 2, I hit the wall, which is disappointing. Nevertheless, we made some improvements to the package and tomorrow morning I’ll be able to go out and fine-tune the settings to achieve a good result on Sunday. »
