Sunday: Important Points for Force India Drivers

Paul di Resta – 7th:

« A great result today and I am really happy to have been able to come back considering my starting position. We were aggressive in terms of strategy and I must say the team really managed to optimize it. The secret was in the tire management and in the ability to find space in front when needed. The car was really good, better than yesterday, and that allowed me to push when necessary. Fortunately, the rain didn’t arrive at the end of the race because that would have had a big impact on my finish. It’s nice to have been able to place both of our cars in the points and we will be able to celebrate that tonight in Monaco. »

Nico Hülkenberg – 8th:

« It was an incredible start with a lot of contact and I was lucky to get through the first corner unscathed because I had to avoid Grosjean, who was in the middle of the track. In the opening laps, I was driving with Michael [Schumacher] and we were stuck behind Kimi [Räikkönen] who was struggling with the Super-Softs, but it was difficult to pass. Unfortunately, Kimi pitted on the same lap as me so I had to stay behind him and we came out into traffic, and that’s where Paul was able to pass me. The rest of the race was pretty calm, I focused on managing the tires. It’s an excellent result for the team and we must be pleased with it. »
