Thursday: A good start for Williams

The Williams FW34 seems quite comfortable on the streets of Monaco, as demonstrated by the times achieved by Pastor Maldonado. Bruno Senna, on the other hand, is gradually recalling the Monaco circuit. The Venezuelan driver appears confident about the race on Sunday.

Thursday: A good start for Williams

Pastor Maldonado – 5th and 5th

The single-seater is really good this year and it seems competitive considering the running done today, so we’re happy with that. It’s a shame we couldn’t run more this afternoon, as we would have liked to gather a bit more data on the tires, but we still have free practice 3 on Saturday. I love this circuit and I think it’s going to be a closely contested Grand Prix.

Bruno Senna – 17th and 13th

It’s nice to be able to do both sessions today because it means we can learn little by little. I’ve been driving well here for several years, so it was good to have more time to remember the track. We are a bit far, and this afternoon’s session was disrupted by rain, but every little bit helps.
