The Force India team will conduct a straight-line aerodynamic test tomorrow, Thursday, at the Cotswold airfield. The VJM05 will be driven by Conor Daly, an American driver who is currently racing in the GP3 Series—and who actually won a race this weekend in Spain.

Conor Daly is the son of his father, Derek, a former F1 driver between 1978 and 1982, who notably raced for March, Tyrrell, and Williams.

The young man expressed his delight on his Twitter feed about being chosen for these trials: «Someone’s really going to have to pinch me because it feels like I’m dreaming! So I’m really grateful for this opportunity. »

The objective of this test is to measure the aerodynamic forces (of the VJM05) in order to correlate them with the data from the wind tunnel, as explained by the Indian team on its website.

Daly was also present yesterday, Tuesday, at the Force India factory in Silverstone, to mold his seat and start familiarizing himself with the systems of an F1 car, specifically that of the Sahara Force India team.
