Barrichello sees a bright future in F1 for Massa
Rubens Barrichello thinks that Felipe Massa has some good years ahead of him in F1, even though behind the scenes, the future of the Paulista seems uncertain.
Felipe Massa was present at the IndyCar meeting that took place in Sao Paulo last weekend. The Ferrari driver came to visit his compatriot and friend Rubens Barrichello, who has been racing in this championship since he was not retained by Williams at the end of 2011.
The record holder for the number of Grand Prix raced believes that despite a difficult start to the season and numerous criticisms, Felipe Massa still has a bright future in F1, even if rumors about the name of his replacement continue, as his contract ends at the end of 2012.
Barrichello also wanted to silence the critics who said that Massa had come to this event to meet with teams for a possible switch to IndyCar.
He came here because I invited him. It was a pleasure to have him. He stayed on the pit wall with a radio, for a completely different F1 experience. And different from what people think – he was not there to look for a seat. This guy is still going to race a lot in F1, Rubens Barrichello shared.
