Bianchi will drive at Mugello for Force India
Jules Bianchi, Force India's third driver, will take the wheel of the VJM05 during the private tests at Mugello, held from May 1st to 3rd.
After driving the VJM05 during pre-season testing in Jerez, and then during the Friday morning free practice in Shanghai, Jules Bianchi will take the wheel of the Force India again on Tuesday, May 1st, during private testing at Mugello.
« Jules will drive the VJM05 next Tuesday during the F1 tests at Mugello! » This is how the announcement was made on the French driver’s Twitter account, a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy. A few minutes earlier, the Nice native had teased by tweeting: « Hi everyone! A big announcement is coming soon, stay tuned! #Happy ».
The Indian team later confirmed the news on its official website: « There may be three weeks between Bahrain and Spain, but the Sahara Force India team will be back in action during the Mugello tests next week. The reserve driver for the team, Jules Bianchi, will be on track on Tuesday to continue familiarizing himself with the VJM05. He will then hand over to Paul di Resta on Wednesday before Nico Hülkenberg takes over for the final day on Thursday. »
